Tea to make life a ceremony - for moments steeped in stillness, beauty and passion.
teadaydreams stands for the transformative power of meditative tea drinking - and for the longing for stillness in the noise of daily life.
We believe that a cup of tea can be a moment of reconnection. A small ceremony. A form of meditation that opens our eyes to all the beauty surrounding us and the passion that we all carry within. So that perhaps one day we realise in amazement:
All of life is a ceremony.
It doesn't take much for such a small ritual, except really good tea. That's why we only choose single-origin teas with special character - original, rare and unadulterated.
teadaydreams is the result of a very personal love story, which you can read here:
Dear tea lovers!
The seed for teadaydreams was sown a few decades ago when my father could often be found enjoying his evening snack at the kitchen table: a fat bacon sandwich and a clay jug full of smoky, aromatic Lapsang Souchong. I still don't share the enthusiasm for bacon, but the smell and taste of this very special tea (which you can only love or hate) enchanted me as a child. It was nothing less than my "gateway drug" to a world that has held me captive ever since.
Since then, tea has been my faithful companion, especially when I feel that everything is moving a bit too fast - and that happens quite often. It would probably have simply remained a pleasant habit if there hadn't been this trip to South-East Asia.
In 2019, I travelled Vietnam with my family and - without having planned it or known about it - ended up in the middle of the tea plant's place of origin. The tea I discovered there was unlike anything I had drunk before. And I was delighted by the refreshing simplicity that it was consumed with there.
Since then, it has been my vision to share extraordinary tea like this with the world, making it accessible to as many people as possible as a form of meditation that opens our eyes to all the beauty we so easily overlook in the rush of everyday life.
teadaydreams wants to bring back something that is often lost when growing up: moments without a goal or purpose, the pleasure of daydreaming, simply being and breathing... or as we say in German:
Let our soul dangle.
I wish you many such moments!
