Wild-picked raw fermented tea 2009 (Sheng Puerh style)
A rare and mysterious piece of tea history. This tea, fermented in Sheng Puerh style, was pressed in 2009 from the leaves of wild, ancient tea trees in the mountains of Hà Giang. Its origin is a little mystery – all that is known is that a Taiwanese couple produced it in small quantities at the time.
But the tea itself tells its story with exceptional emphasis. Its youthful vigour has transformed into remarkable depth: delicate sweetness, mineral clarity, gentle woody notes and hints of dried fruit are reminiscent of an exquisite barrique wine.
This is more than a mature Sheng. It is a piece of tea history that is rare for Vietnam, and whose secret only truly takes shape in your teacup.
